LINED WITH GOLD EP RELEASE DATE
› News posted by Daniel Sioui on June 19, 2013
Stoked to announce that LINED WITH GOLD's self titled EP will be available online Tuesday, June 25th. Honestly it is one of the best things to come out of the Vancouver punk rock scene in a while.
Totally crushing and heartfelt.
We are proud to be a part of the release.
RIP Tim McGuinness.

The Vancouver music scene lost one of its greats today in Tim McGuinness.
One of the city's most talented musicians and perhaps more than anyone I know, a true and devoted lover of music. He was a good friend and although we didn't travel in the same circles, when we did meet we revelled in one another's company and reminisced about the past. I will miss him dearly.
When I first moved to Vancouver, Tim answered my ad in the Georgia Straight to start an emocore band. He was the only person to recognize the genre. We listened to Sunny Day, Quicksand and Fugazi, jammed and drank Guinness together. He introduced me to many of the city's best punk and hardcore bands. Everyone knew 'Squid'. At that time, there were very few bands playing our style of music.
Tim was a dedicated advocate of Vancouver's fledgling punk acts. He always supported bands he liked and did his best to get them the recognition they deserved. A true cheerleader for the underground. Soon after, Tim and I connected with Wes and Todd and All State Champion was born. I am incredibly proud of the music we created together. Tim was a remarkable guitar player that was all about feel in his playing. His originality and complex chords continue to inspire me.
Tim always pushed me to believe in myself and to strive forward with music, even when I didn't have the courage to do so. He was the real reason I got to play with my heroes: Sunny Day Real Estate, At the Drive In, Braid, Samiam. For that I will be forever grateful to him.
Thank you Tim for your passion and endless energy. For pushing me out of my comfort zone and for showing me that passion can lead to success.
I am certain that Gold Stock Records wouldn't exist without you.
Rest in Peace my friend.

I did slag Rise Records pretty hard...|
and they do have great bands that are our friends Make Do and Mend, Cheap Girls, HWM, Piebald, Sharks, and Transit amongst others. But they also have bands that make me want to hit my own mouth with a hammer.

Knew you from highschool and the Sheridan house, really impressed with how well you've done over the years even with transplanting in van, just wanted to say hey and wow is all.
Funny, went and saw Rollins spoken word a while back could have swore I saw you there but wasn't sure, anyways cheers. Really awesome you're doing so well

A few news posts ago you posted slagging Rise. I will agree 100% Attack! Attack! is the worst but Rise is starting to sign some awesome bands.. Sharks, Hot Water Music, Cheap Girls.. to name a few. Maybe they're finally coming to their senses! Still not as great as Gold Stock, of course...
